Connect Frddy to Zapier

Send every new lead from your Frddy pages straight into the tools you already use — your CRM, email platform, a spreadsheet, Slack, and thousands of other apps — automatically, the moment a lead comes in.

This guide walks you through connecting Frddy to Zapier in about five minutes. No code required.

What you'll need

  • A Frddy account with at least one page collecting leads.
  • A Zapier account (the free plan works to start). If you don't have one, sign up at zapier.com.
  • Your Frddy API key — this is how Zapier securely connects to your account and pulls your leads (and only yours). We'll grab it in Step 1.
1

Get your Frddy API key

  1. In Frddy, go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find the Zapier section and your API key.
  3. Click Show, then Copy.

Keep this key handy for the next step. Treat it like a password — anyone with it can read your leads. If it's ever exposed, click Regenerate key to instantly invalidate the old one and get a fresh one.

2

Connect Frddy in Zapier

  1. In Zapier, create a new Zap.
  2. For the Trigger, search for Frddy and select it.
  3. Choose the New Lead trigger event, then click Continue.
  4. When prompted to connect your account, paste the API key you copied in Step 1.
  5. Click Continue — Zapier will confirm the connection.

That's the whole connection. From here on, Zapier remembers your account.

3

Test the trigger

  1. Zapier will offer to pull a recent lead to test. Click Test trigger.
  2. You should see a real lead from one of your Frddy pages, with all its fields.
  3. If it looks right, click Continue.

Tip: if you don't have any leads yet, submit a quick test lead through one of your Frddy pages first, then run the test.

4

Choose what happens with each lead

This is where you decide where your leads go. For the Action, pick the app you want to send leads to and what it should do. A few common setups:

  • Add the lead to your CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc.) as a new contact.
  • Add a row to a spreadsheet (Google Sheets, Airtable) for a running lead list.
  • Send yourself a notification by email or in Slack.
  • Add the lead to an email list (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Beehiiv).

Map your Frddy lead fields (name, email, phone, and so on) into the matching fields in your chosen app.

5

Turn it on

Once your test action succeeds, publish the Zap and switch it on. From now on, new leads flow through automatically.

What data comes through

Every lead includes these fields you can map into any app:

Lead Name
The name they entered
Lead Email
Their email address
Phone
If your form asks for it
Message
Anything they typed
Source
Which page or link the lead came from
Page and Page Slug
The Frddy page that captured the lead
Created At
When the lead came in
Lead ID
A unique identifier for the lead

Plus any custom fields on your form. If your form asks for "Company," "Budget," or anything else, those come through automatically and can be mapped just like the standard fields.

How often does Zapier check for new leads?

Zapier checks for new leads on a schedule — typically every 1 to 15 minutes, depending on your Zapier plan. Each lead only ever triggers your Zap once; you won't get duplicates for leads Zapier has already seen.

Troubleshooting

The connection failed when I pasted my key.
Double-check you copied the full key from Settings → Integrations (click Show first). If you recently regenerated your key, the old one no longer works — copy the current one.
Leads aren't coming through.
  • Make sure the Zap is switched on.
  • Confirm the lead was actually submitted through a Frddy page tied to your account.
  • Remember there can be a short delay (up to ~15 minutes) between a lead arriving and Zapier picking it up, based on your plan.
A custom field isn't showing up in Zapier.
Custom fields appear based on the sample lead Zapier pulled when you set up the Zap. If you added a new form field afterward, re-pull a fresh test lead in the Zap's trigger step so Zapier picks up the new field.
I need to reset access.
Click Regenerate key in Frddy's Integrations settings. This immediately invalidates the old key — any Zap using the old key will stop working until you reconnect it with the new key.

A note on privacy

Your API key only ever returns your own leads. It can't access anyone else's account or data. Keep it private, and regenerate it any time you need to cut off access.
